Prince (Dr) B. A. Onafowokan is the founder of Ladgroup and the founder of the company is a 1954 graduate of the University of Ibadan with B. Sc. (London) Mathematics. After a brief stint as a teacher with Ogbomosho Grammar School and Kings College, Lagos, he joined Shell Company of West Africa (now Conoil Plc) in 1956 from where he retired as retail Sales Manager in 1972 to form Ladgroup Limited.
Mrs. Afolake A. Oladitan is a graduate with honours in Policymaking and Administration from University of Essex and LLB from the University of Southampton, UK, and was called to Bar at the Nigerian Law School in 1987. She worked with the prestigious Law Firms of Chris Ogunbanjo & Co. and with Ajumogobia, Okeke & Oyebode and as a Senior Associate with Oyebode & Aluko before joining Ladgroup Limited. She is also the Managing Director of Pinky Blue Limited (with exclusive franchise for Mothercare in Nigeria)
Tunde Bajela is the Managing Consultant of Superbrains Consulting Limited, a financial advisory firm, delivering high quality professional services to some of Nigeria’s largest private and public sector organisations in the diverse areas of Accounting, Auditing, Investment Banking, Arbitration, Strategic Planning, Manpower Development and Training. His academic attainments include a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Ife, a Master of Business Administration degree and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the University of London.
Mezuo Nwuneli is the Managing Partner, Sahel Capital Agribusiness Managers Ltd, a food and agriculture focused private equity firm which invests in mid-sized agribusinesses. He has worked for 25 years in corporate finance, investment banking, and private equity; and since 2010 has focused on the agricultural sector in West Africa. He holds a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from Harvard Business School, and received a B.Sc. in Industrial Management, with a minor in Information Systems, from Carnegie Mellon University.
Remi is an Operating Partner at Sahel Capital Agribusiness Managers Ltd: private equity firm, agribusiness focused, in Nigeria. He also sits on the Board of Directors of two of the fund’s portfolio companies, Ladgroup Ltd and Polyfilm Ltd. Remi holds a BEng from the University of Ilorin, Nigeria, and MBA. in Production & Operations Management. He is a COREN Registered Engineer, Member of several Engineering Institutions (NSE, IET, IEEE) and an SCMX-7 cohort of The Coca-Cola Company, Supply Chain Manager Excellent program.
Olumide Lawson is a partner at Sahel Agribusiness Managers, a private equity and advisory firm focused primarily in agribusiness in Nigeria. Prior to his current role, Olumide has had almost 20-year career in finance. Olumide holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) and the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA®) designations and also an Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA). Olumide holds a B.Sc. in Accounting from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.
Mr. Abayomi Awobokun is a business leader from Nigeria, a 2016 recipient of the Young Global Leader award from the World Economic Forum (WEF), a 2017 recipient of the prestigious Arch Bishop Desmond Tutu Fellow from the African Leadership Initiative (AFLI) in South Africa and in 2018, a 3-time recipient of the top 100 African Business Persons under 40 award by the Choiseul Institute in Paris, France. He is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Enyo Retail & Supply, a fast growing downstream player in Nigeria utilizing technology to simplify and optimize fuels retailing in Nigeria. Enyo currently distributes up to 2% of national demand for refined products in Nigeria. Abayomi has over 15 years experience in the Oil & Gas sector with over 10 years of this spent in an executive capacity. Before his role in Enyo Retail & Supply, Abayomi was the CEO of Oando Plc’s Downstream Businesses (in Nigeria, West Africa, Europe & the Middle East). He serves on the board of businesses in the Agricuture, Financial Services and Food & Beverage industries. He is the founder of The September 20 Foundation (TS20F), a voluntary donor-funded initiative to support the operations of Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camps in Nigeria. He is married with 2 children.
Mr Adekunle Onafowokan retired as Managing Director of Ladgroup Limited and currently sits on the Board of the same company. As Managing Director, he spearheaded the company’s advancement from a wholly trading company to a trading and manufacturing enterprise which grew to become a leader in the commodity export business. In particular, he successfully resuscitated the shea nut processing factory uncompleted since the 1990s and achieved the milestone of being the pioneer company to process and export shea butter in bulk in containers from Nigeria. He has a cumulative experience of over 27 years in Ladgroup 12 of which he spent as Managing Director.
Mr. Adekunle O. Onafowokan earned a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from University of Birmingham, United Kingdom, MSc in Food Process Engineering from University of Reading, United Kingdom and Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Yale University, New Haven CT, United States of America. Mr Kunle is a Member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, United Kingdom. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees of the National Shea Products Association of Nigeria (NASPAN).
Other work experience was in Accenture where he spent 8 years and left as a Senior Manager. During his stay at Accenture, he led teams in key projects in strategy, organization and process design, change management and performance management and participated in major transformation projects with key clients in the Banking, Oil and Gas and Utilities Industries. These clients include Union Bank of Nigeria Plc, Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) and Shell Petroleum Development Corporation (SPDC).
