Prince (Dr) B. A. Onafowokan is the founder of Ladgroup and the founder of the company is a 1954 graduate of the University of Ibadan with B. Sc. (London) Mathematics. After a brief stint as a teacher with Ogbomosho Grammar School and Kings College, Lagos, he joined Shell Company of West Africa (now Conoil Plc) in 1956 from where he retired as retail Sales Manager in 1972 to form Ladgroup Limited.

Mr. Adekunle Onafowokan

Mr Adekunle Onafowokan retired as Managing Director of Ladgroup Limited and currently sits on the Board of the same company. As Managing Director, he spearheaded the company’s advancement from a wholly trading company to a trading and manufacturing enterprise which grew to become a leader in the commodity export business. In particular, he successfully resuscitated the shea nut processing factory uncompleted since the 1990s and achieved the milestone of being the pioneer company to process and export shea butter in bulk in containers from Nigeria. He has a cumulative experience of over 27 years in Ladgroup 12 of which he spent as Managing Director.
Mr. Adekunle O. Onafowokan earned a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from University of Birmingham, United Kingdom, MSc in Food Process Engineering from University of Reading, United Kingdom and Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Yale University, New Haven CT, United States of America. Mr Kunle is a Member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, United Kingdom. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees of the National Shea Products Association of Nigeria (NASPAN).
Other work experience was in Accenture where he spent 8 years and left as a Senior Manager. During his stay at Accenture, he led teams in key projects in strategy, organization and process design, change management and performance management and participated in major transformation projects with key clients in the Banking, Oil and Gas and Utilities Industries. These clients include Union Bank of Nigeria Plc, Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) and Shell Petroleum Development Corporation (SPDC).
